I recently popped out of a marketing meeting where we were planning a grand opening event slated to take place in the beginning of next year. Its for a solid, successful company. Nothing flashy. But we are attempting to organize a major event in the city. In the midst of the conversation I was shocked when I heard them refer to the weather girl as a “celebrity.” In my mind I thought, a meterologist is probably as far from a celebrity as you could get….well that and maybe a physicist. But everyone else piled on the enthusiasm of getting the ‘celebrity’ to the event. I must really live in an alternate universe.
The rest of the day was spent with me thinking… what really constitutes a famous person?
