Are you overlooking potential streams of income? Every single gift you have in your life is a revenue stream. Are you a great writer? Do you have a friendly and outgoing personality? Are you a good organizer? Whatever gift or skill you have can be transformed into a revenue stream.
I would be lying if I told you I willfully chose to follow my purpose over my ever-looming desire to be a star. I’ve studied stardom since I was a child. I could write a book on how to live your life in the lights (maybe I will), but as I embarked on the journey there was always something nagging me. Something called purpose.
As dreamers, we are constantly imagining ourselves in ideal situations. We allow our imagination to take us to far away places, but at times we get frustrated because they seem so far from our reality. When we finally allow ourselves to believe the things we dream can come true, we may find ourselves wondering- “Can I live up to this?”
Set goals, have a plan, establish a deadline, and live the life of your dreams! Why settle for someone else’s gold when you can create an empire all your own? Ladies, it is time that you use what you have (in your head) to get you to the life you desire! Here’s how:
Confidence is a state of feeling certain about the truth of something. Once you have confidence in something, you are bold enough to speak on it, act on it, and/or live it out. Therefore, in order to be bold, you have to find your truths.

We all have friends or family members or co-workers—or maybe it’s you—who are fly on a daily. It comes natural to them, whether going to work, a cook-out, wedding, shopping, bowling…they know exactly what to wear, how to wear it, and how to accessorize. And not necessarily to get attention. It’s just them. It’s how they are, from head to toe, with confidence. And we can just imagine them walking down a NY runway or Hollywood Red Carpet.

America was a celebrity-obsessed culture… and I loved every bit of it! The idea of ‘celebrity’ is something I observed studied since I was a little girl. One of the memories of my childhood was putting on an impromptu dance recital in the middle of my 2nd grade classroom… just for the heck of it… and not thinking it was random at all. And yes, I jammed a costume into my backpack for the performance as well as a cassette tape for my music. Needless to say my mom was always a nervous wreck about how people would respond to my random outbursts of choreography. But to her surprise everyone loved it…it was just “Syreeta.”
The 90s girl group TLC is probably best known for its song “Waterfalls.” In the song Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes delivered thought-provoking lyrics that seemed to never leave my mind (probably because it took me so long to memorize them). One of the lines are: “Dreams are hopeless aspirations in hopes of coming true,” which made me wonder what it meant to dream and how to move your dream from a hope and a wish to reality.
When you stop chasing your dreams, they will find you! Its an amazing feeling to know what you want. But something even more amazing happens when you release your dreams into the hands of God and allow Him to position your life so that you’ll live a life that is bigger than anything you’ve ever imagined. And the only way to do that is to let go of the wheel, and allow God to guide you.
Have you wondered why you’re unable to change your current situation? Sometimes the answer is simple: your situation can’t change because you haven’t changed. Change is not change until you change. Therefore, if you want something to happen in your life, you have to take the necessary steps within yourself to make it happen. What have you been putting off working on?
