How To Find The Perfect Red Lipstick?

Posted in: Life, Product Junkie

Its summer, and most people love bright, bold, red lips. But finding the perfect red lipstick can be a challenge. It usually looks amazing int he tube, but falls flat on your face. Or maybe its perfect on your wrist, but way too coral on your lips. We found the trick to help you have the perfect red lipstick for your complexion. Hopefully the rest of your summer days will be perfectly matched by your fun, red lips.

1- Know Your Undertones

Do you have blue, red, or yellow undertones? Step outside and turn your wrist over towards the sun. Do you see undertones of yellow or orange? If so, you are warm-toned. Do you see undertones of pink or blue? If so, you are cool-toned.

2- For Warm-Toned

Pick reds that have orange, yellow, or golden hues. These are colors we would consider to ‘pop’. Think peach, coral, or orange red shades.

3- For Cool-Toned

Pick lipsticks with a blue-base. These are colors we would consider to be ‘cool’. Think rich reds, raspberry reds, and deep reds.

4- Take Into Account Your Lip Pigment

If you have paler lips, opt for more sheer colors. People with darker lip pigments should search for lipsticks with a deeper base. This rule is so that your lipstick doesn’t overpower you or fade too easily.
