Ever wonder how to make it in your industry? Well, here is 8 tips for you to make it big! These tips can be applied to ANY industry, and are particularlly useful if you’re an entrepreneur. Read The Article:
Be Yourself
If your name is Terri, you can’t make it as Sarah or Robin. You have to be true to yourself. Most people get stuck on this step. Their focus is so much about everything around them, and not on themselves. It’s very important that what you produce is created from the inside of you. Why? Because you will be able to sustain it. If you create something that was originated by someone else, and that other person who you were copying stops creating the very thing you are copying, you will find yourself stuck. Not only that, but it’s important to be yourself because the confidence in what you do will SHINE.
Be Original
Would you want the carbon copy or would you want the original? Original, please! People are attracted to something different. If you eat vanilla ice cream everyday, you get excited when you see vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. I say that to say the elements that make you “different” is what makes you original. Exploit those “differences” to find your originality.
Diversify Your Talents
Do you model? Guess what, you can’t JUST be a model. That’s boring and its been done. Bring in other elements to make your modeling exciting. For example, say you’re a model who is passionate about inspiring your generation to know their worth and go after their dreams. Do that. That’s far more exciting than just taking a picture.
There Is No Set Path
I’ve had two separate conversations this week with people who were saying “I wish I knew if I was going in the right direction”. Too bad they haven’t realized there isn’t ONE WAY. A lot of people waste a lot of time thinking about the “if”. The “if” can’t happen unless you “DO!” So please, move forward so that you have the opportunity to see where your life will take you. It will ALWAYS be good if you have faith.
Stay Hungry
You have to be a fan of your industry. If you continue to be a fan of your industry, you will be hungry to grow and develop. If you don’t, you risk becoming complacent and your talents/skills no longer being appealing.
Respect Where You Are NOW
One of the most important things to learn is to respect where you are RIGHT NOW. At times, you get very focused on the future and lose the moment. But you must realize that what you have in this moment is what you need for this moment. The key you need to open the next door is in the room you’re standing in.
Stay Humble
Being humble means you are teachable. People will approach you with information and opportunities. But if you know it all, people won’t try to help.
Go For It
Go For It. You can’t dream on the coach and think it will manifest on the big stage or corner office. You have to work on it and allow it to develop.
