After attending a bible study, I found myself stuck on the verse “…for then thou shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.” (Joshua 1:8) My pastor kept stressing the word “MAKE”, to signify the importance of having faith, going out, and getting it.

The irony of the moment was a few hours before while I was showering in the few minutes between the time I got off work and had to go to bible study, I thought to myself “my life is going to unfold in front of my eyes”. I know that I am coming into a places where my past experiences, both good and bad, are going to be of great benefit to me. It is time for me to move forward. I felt like my thoughts were validated by the scripture.

But its not about me. It’s time for all of us to move forward. We can’t become prosperous by waking up, going to work, eating dinner and watching TV. We have to MAKE our way prosperous. The prosperity that exists for us is more abundant than what we can work for. So if we can’t work for it, how do we make our way prosperous? The answer is: by faith.

I truly believe that each of us were given a specific gift (and some people more than just one). It’s not always easy for us to showcase those gifts because “life” gets in the way. We have bills, situations, and circumstances that distract us from bringing what we have in our hearts into the reality of our lives.

Although we may not be able to do things the way we want in the moment because of our situations, doesn’t meant hat our faith for the things we believe should be put on the backburner. You life can change in an instant. And when you have faith for something, you have the expectation that it will manifest in you life. The faith for it allows you to step out, little by little, towards the desires of you heart. The more you step out by faith, the more you are granted.

I ask that as we all go through this day, and the days to come, we allow our lives to unfold in front of us. Let’s make our way prosperous and allow our lives to develop into our dreams. Let us step from ‘almost famous’ or almost on the way to our dreams, to being on track and attaining all that is for us!
