Margarita Bloom is a fab vintage-inspired line of bath soaps and skincare that allows you to indulge in the luxuries of cocoa butter, pink sea salts, and lavender…to name a few. We first saw this brand over at Kim’s averysweetblog.com and it brought a smile to our face when the founder of the brand responded to one of our comments. Margarita Bloom screams decadent, Paris, luxury, pin-up and indulgence. We are particularly enamored with the company’s PERFECT branding which allows us to dive into our own boudoir each time we glance at the packaging…let alone soak in the product. So we found a mix of fun creative and cool products for you to check out. We also took time to speak with “girltrepreneur” Regina (CEO of Margarita Bloom), to find out her inspirations for the brand. Let’s take a look:

Kissable lips are a MUST…no matter what era! The product tastes like sugar and you gently exfoliate your lips. This is perfect for the changing season ahead…or more importantly, a first date smooch.

 MOSAMUSE: What inspired you to create Margarita Bloom?

MARGARITA BLOOM (Regina, CEO): Two reasons essentially…to help my family financially and it’s been a dream/goal to have my own company ever since I was little. It was like second nature to me. I knew I was going to have my own company without any doubt…I just needed to figure out what my niche was. Once I discovered the world of bath & beauty & the internet of course I was hooked. *smiles*

MOSAMUSE: We really love your branding and creative concept for the brand. Tell us about your branding process. What made you choose the creative images and themes?

MARGARITA BLOOM: I’ve always loved old film noir movies (Think Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall!) and have been fascinated by history of all eras from Aphrodite & Cleopatra to Betty Grable and Lucille Ball! I especially love the glamour of the 20′s to the 50′s where my main theme of retro vintage beauty comes from. That whole glamorous era is just so much fun with cheesecake pinups, flirty flappers, Old Hollywood, gorgeous fashions and hair styles…if I was going to create a company why not incorporate things that I was passionate about into it as well? I took that idea and ran away with it…a fairy tales collection? Why not? A Pirates Collection? You betcha!! Fabulous French Marie Antoinette inspired potions? Oui! *wink*  Our collections all stem from subjects that I hold dear to my heart.

MOSAMUSE: As a female entrepreneur, what are some challenges that you faced that you had to overcome. And what can you tell other female entrepreneurs who are at the beginning of their venture? 

MARGARITA BLOOM: The most challenging part was when I was first trying to figure out how to start a company and how to put it all together, even trying to pick out a name was seriously challenging lol…but once I got over that hump it all started to come together. If you’re just starting out, the best advice I can give is to never give up and never let anybody tell you no. Believe in your dreams and yourself and do lots and lots of research! lol…

MOSAMUSE: Where do you see your brand in the future?

MARGARITA BLOOM: Ultimately, I would love to see us have our own physical pretty play-land…a Margarita Bloom Beauty Boutique where all our peeps could stop by and pick up our pretty potions in person and maybe to nibble on a sweet snack too like macaroons! *yum* Just recently we applied for one of many $250,000 business grants that Chase & Living Social are giving out so we’re hoping, fingers crossed, that our fabulous little beauty company will be one of them!! We get to find out on September 15th who wins the grants. It would do wonders and totally amazing things for our small company and literally make my dreams come true so wish us luck, you lovely peeps you! *wink wink* Margarita Bloom for all!
