Purple reigned in 2012 as movie stars, political figures, and Olympic athletes wore the color to some of the most coveted events of the year. Trendsetting stylistas also found the color on their fingertips, lips, and eyelids. We put together some of the most popular uses of this season’s most turned to color. Check out what we’ve found:
“Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” star Rooney Mara strutted the purple carpet wearing an eggplant dress and nude shoes. Not only did she look fashionable, she looked effortless and chic. Her matching lipstick kept her look mysterious.
Purple locks also became a much blogged about style in 2012. Here, the model shows a hint of purple goes a long way.
